OBIBINI widmet sich dem Aufbau einer globalen, umweltfreundlichen Handelsbrücke für explizit fair gehandelte Handarbeiten auf dem afrikanischen Kunstmarkt. Unsere Produkte sind von afrikanischer Abstammung und werden mit Liebe und Zufriedenheit hergestellt. Wir sind ein kleines Team hinter den Kulissen, mit Sitz in Wiesbaden - Deutschland und in Elmina - Ghana (Westafrika), die mit und für unsere Macher im Craft-Bereich arbeiten. Unsere Website bringt eine ganze Gemeinschaft ausgewählter Macher aus der ganzen Welt zusammen und wir nutzen unsere Seite, um ihre Arbeit zu promoten und zu feiern, während wir auch online direkt an die Öffentlichkeit verkaufen.
What We Do
We are a small team behind the scenes, based in Wiesbaden - Germany and in Elmina - Ghana (West Africa), working with and for our makers in the craft sector. Our website brings together a whole community of
select creators from around the world and we use our site to promote and celebrate their work, while also selling directly to the public online.
How We Do It
One of our main ethics for the existence and birth of the OBIBINI Foundation is to present exoticism in front of the global door and adhering to our internal rule of thumb, only producing and exhibiting high quality African craftsmanship. We also do practice fair trade, which means we work closely with our artisans and offer a fair price for their products and then in addition, inject the funds back into local communities in Ghana. We provide decent conditions for the producers and guarantee the artisans and farmers a fair wage for their products. Team OBIBINI strongly believe in putting people and the planet first by committing to manufacturing, buying and selling products which are connected to the livelihoods of our artisans and the communities.
